CARE Hospitals Banjara hills Outpatient Center on Thursday honored 102 years Centenarian Shri Etykuri Krishna Murthy to mark the occasion of World Health Day at CARE Outpatient Centre.
World Health Day (WHD) is celebrated on 7 April every year to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. Each year, a theme is selected to highlight a priority area of public health concern in the world. This year, WHO has decided to celebrate the day with the theme “Health For All”. Keeping in view of this CARE Hospitals Banjara hills Outpatient Centre today Honoured a Good Health ICON and Centenarian Freedom Fighter Mr. Etukuri Krishna Murthy 102-year-old who laid his life on the lines for the freedom of united India from British Rule he fought his way against caste System and Political Controversies. In the time of Corona Virus, he releases his book “Praja Vaidyam” to literate the people and he light on doctors and civil servants of India who put their life on the line to protect us. This book should be an inspirational thought to all youth across India.
On this occasion Mr. Etukuri Krishna Murthy requests all the youth to follow truth and righteousness and ultimately had our nation to great heights. He said Doctors of India are devotees all youth must take gratitude and protect the heritage of India together he says.
Mr.Nilesh Gupta Hospitals Chief Operating Officer Said on this occasion that Mr.Etukuri Krishna Murthy is truly a civil hero and inspiration to the coming generation. We on behalf of all the employees of CARE deeply respect Mr. Krishna Murthy and honour his Legacy. He said Mr.Etukuri Krishna Murthy contributed invaluably to the freedom struggle and we are all grateful and bow our heads before them for their sacrifices, dedication and passion. It is our responsibility to express our respect towards them.
Dr Nikhil Mathur Chief of Medical Services CARE Group of Hospitals said at this time age of 102 he wakes up early in the morning for a morning walk and follows all the day routine activities, People in the olden times kept themselves fit without any fancy equipment or machines people they followed rigorous exercise regime and kept themselves healthy and strong. So, to become fit, one should seriously follow different formats of exercising with a routine. Running, swimming, jogging, push-ups, squat are some of the exercises that can be taken up to stay fit. He said feels great privilege in honouring the freedom fighter to maintain his good health and become a role model for all of us.
He said the concept of 'good health and healthy living' is not possible without any workout. The sense of health consciousness arises only after a sickness. This must be avoided, and the notion 'Prevention is better than cure' be adopted. So, to keep yourself healthy and going, why not follow a freedom fighter's workout regime.
